A Common Crane from Cowpen Marsh, Teesside, today. We watched in distantly in a field for a minute before it took off and gave us really close flight views. Thank you to everyone who gave updates on its location.

Our resident Birds in the garden include a Pied Wagtail which visits every day to feed and drink from the water barrel and for the past week a Grey Wagtail although not managed a photo yet as a bit flighty.

The Blackcap feeding on the apples today in the garden of the cottage we are staying in. It was here in April when we came and lovely to see it again now. (If it is the same bird that is!) A wet day but the Cresties still made an appearance. #Dulnainbridge #highlands @teesbirds.bsky.social
Feed the birds and they will come. The feeding station was empty when we arrived but it didn't take long before the coal Tits and at least 2 Cresties arrived once the sunflower hearts and peanuts were supplied. @teesbirds.bsky.social
