Kickstarter finally approved my project. I didn't even have to lie and say that I used ai to create my book (like they originally wanted me to)
They just approved it: no explanation.
So, what happened? Why the change of heart?
I have four guesses: (Your guess is as good as mine.)
We're only a couple weeks away from my kitty noir book releasing on Kickstarter!

I pushed the start of my Kickstarter launch back a month, due in part to all the craziness that was just getting the thing approved, but if you're interested to see what the fuss was all about, I have a pre-launch page that anyone can sign up for to be notified about when the campaign launches.
Thankful for whatever human being or robot (you never can tell these days) used their common sense to give me a chance to run another Kickstarter campaign.
To give me the chance to make this book.
but...they approved it.
I didn't have to sign "Yes" to using ai, and I didn't even need to re-write my "disclosure."
And, for that, whatever the reason, I'm thankful.
I wrote the entire thing within their story editor in case they were tracking whether things were copy+pasted or not. I purposely wrote it badly so they couldn't say that it was written by ai. It wasn't pretty, but it did make me chuckle while writing it.
Here's around 40% of what I wrote:
It wasn't enough for me to say that I wasn't using ai for this project. I had to say SPECIFICALLY how ai was or was not used.
So I did.
I covered everything they asked about and more.
4) I got too unhinged. (Almost assured)
One of the things KS was asking for was for me to leave more detailed information about how AI was or was not used. Did I use ai for the main banner image? What about the pages for the book? Perhaps I was going to use ai in the future?
The final message I sent them was a link to that video.
Maybe they watched it? (They never asked me to prove how I made the comic - just accused and ignored me when I offered to provide proof for anything they were questioning.)
3) They actually read my messages. (Conceivable)
Awhile back, I had posted a video to my youtube that was a timelapse showing me coloring two pages from the book. You can clearly see me creating the entire thing from the plain inks to the finished result.
