The SNP is advocating for a social tariff for energy consumers to help cut household bills.

The UK Labour Government must step up to the plate & help make this a reality.

People need help during this cost of living crisis.

So much for Labour’s election pledge to energy bills by Β£300.

Westminster continues to fail when it comes to fair energy prices.

Scotland has the energy, what we need now is the powers to reform electricity & gas pricing.

It’s time for independence. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Inside Bucksburn Swimming Pool as council lifts lid on huge Β£2.1m refurbishment project Bucksburn Swimming Pool has been closed for some time, with members of the public last in for a dip in the spring of 2023.

Earlier this month I had a walk around Bucksburn Swimming Pool with @AlastairGossip to set out our plans.

πŸ‘‡πŸ» @AberdeenCC is investing over Β£2 million to modernise the facility and get it open again for the community.

I am stunned that Scottish Labour are PAYING to promote this messge in Aberdeen!

Local Labour politicians don't even mention the windfall tax because they know how damaging it is in the North East, with 100,000 jobs at risk because of their policies.

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 People across Scotland need to have a warm, safe, and affordable place to live.

🏘️ We'll boost Scotland's affordable housing supply, investing £768m in our housing programme.

πŸ”¨ This enables housing providers to deliver at least 8,000 homes.

πŸ“£ Eradicating child poverty is the Scottish Government's top priority.

πŸ₯€ But when Labour came into power in Westminster, they kept the brutal two-child cap.

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Our budget will end it in Scotland, lifting over 15,000 Scottish children out of poverty.

Absolutely delighted that Cabinet Secretary, Shona Robison has proposed the scrapping of the horrific two child benefit cap in Scotland’s budget.

This will lift 15,000 children out of poverty if the budget is passed.

Labour pledged to cut household fuel bills by Β£300, but instead your gas & electricity bills have risen by Β£ 170.

Labour lied!

Energy bills are Β£470 higher than Labour promised.

It’s time for energy rich Scotland to have the power to set bills for ourselves - independence 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

❌ Labour promised not to raise taxes on working people, but this is a tenants’ tax that will be hitting every council tenant here in Aberdeen if they do not address this issue.

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Aberdeen City Council’s Housing Convener, Cllr Miranda Radley, has written to the Chancellor urging her to think again.
