post from the ffxiv forums that say "I've said as much in the past but this is a game that allows for eternal bonds - basically marriage - between player characters. Why isn't that being respected? I think we need a scene in the MSQ's where the likes of G'raha are called out for the attempted homewreckers that they are."

Unfortunately the *actual* UU3 was Underworld Ascendant and that one went... uh. poorly. tbh, seems like we won't be getting ANY proper successor any time soon - Arkane Austin is dead, Arkane Lyon is working on marvelslop, Otherside is working on PvP titles, and I think Eidos might be cooked.

I'm replaying Arx Fatalis now - just got through the crypt - and it's been a blast. Is it flawed? Absolutely. But with fan support, like Arx Libertatis, it's one of the coolest games I've ever played. I'd love to see it get a proper remaster or sequel or even a spiritual successor.

like. Do you like any of Arkane's other immersive sims (Dishonored, Prey, Deathloop)? Arx Fatalis is where Arkane got their start, go play it.

Do you like the old school Looking Glass imsims (Ultima Underworld, System Shock, Thief)? Arx Fatalis was literally pitched as and built as UU3, go play it.

Arx Fatalis barely qualifies - it's got a 77 on Metacritic - but it's also a game I never see anyone talking about. Basically all the discussion on this game happened back in the early 2000s and that's such a shame. This is really the all-time imsim sleeper hit.

Honestly, it's the only one of the animated Pokémon movies I personally think actually holds up nowadays. Molly is a weirdly compelling antagonist and Suede's description of the film as "Silent Hill For Kids" honestly hits a key part of why the film works.
