And that’s why in anything I paint, if they’re wearing wedding rings, Ed’s is gold and Stede’s is silver. It lives in my brain now. 6/

They buy their rings, get them fitted properly and ready to go, and pass them off to their attendants.

The day of the wedding Stede’s shocked to discover Ed bought himself a gold ring and Ed’s even more shocked to discover 3/

be married, the rings symbolize how they’re two halves of the same whole. Ed rolls his eyes and says fine (he was always going to agree, he can’t resist Stede, obviously, but after that speech? Goner.) They argue about the metal for a while but the arguing turns into making out 2/

When Ed and Stede are getting married, they have to pick a metal for their rings. Ed likes silver and Stede likes gold. Ed says we’ll just get the same style, the metals don’t have to match, but Stede is scandalized — of course they have to match, he wants to match his husband, they’re gonna 1/
