On Woman’s Hour, Emma Barnett was really good. I don’t think she’s very comfortable on the Today programme actually and isn’t a good fit.

Yes I do and she’s such a sad loss but her podcast is good thankfully. I sometimes wonder if it’s the producers who push the journalists to behave in this way.
Anyone who wants Britain to join the war in Iran needs their head examined open.substack.com/pub/iandunt/...
Depressing isn’t it?
Exactly! We’re media journalists always like this and I didn’t notice or is it that this now the only tactic they know how to employ?
I can’t take them seriously anymore. Trump and Hegseth, that is.
This question about what happens next in Iran is proving difficult to answer. Colour me shocked.
So here’s a (for the avoidance of any doubt, unserious) suggestion which may appeal to them. 1/3
The groundswell of anger against Katie Hopkins touring Britain like she's just some normal celebrity grows.
Well done to local people in Dorset who aren't taking it lying down.

This really is very good news. Good to see Labour changing its mind and restoring the Electoral Commission’s independence
Hey naysayers learn something

I've complained to the BBC about this awful combination of interviews on #r4today this morning.
Yes, I know.
There are going to be a lot of her customers though, who are going to be upset they’ve lost their plumber!
Agree. Excellent comparison!
FWIW if you are the kind of man who thinks swearing at MPs in Walthamstow town centre is best way to express your political preferences, can I at least ask you wait until my kids are out of earshot first.
You might feel I am fair game for such abuse, but they are not.
I don't think Starmer has any conception of the "teaching" role of the premiership: the responsibility (& opportunity) to talk to the public, to shape how they understand the world & the choices before them.
All the most impactful PMs have been teachers. Starmer seems actively to repudiate the role
Fixed that headline for you:
‘One (1) farmer who farms 1,000 acres doesn’t like rewilding, we’ve made that the basis of our headline in a classic example of false balance.
PS everyone else in the story loves the idea of the Wildlife Trusts buying the Rothbury Estate’

Disgusting remarks, and that’s before you note this is someone who moved to (colonised as he would put it) a tax haven news.sky.com/story/the-uk...
The public have been crystal clear on assisted dying for decades.
For thirty years, the public has overwhelmingly supported choice for terminally ill people at the end of life.

This is what we're up against. Bangor University, that fine and noble institution where I've spoken twice, nearly 150 years young and still going strong. The sheer hatred they reserve for us shows what could happen after 2029, but also that they're frightened of knowledge and learning.
British Army Rangers have carried out a major training exercise on Northumberland moorland as the UK prepares to take over a NATO special operations leadership role from July.

Ah yes. Mr Sarwar ….
And do you know what the Tories did at Barnet Council? Worth reading up about it as the Guardian did a good article on it. They ruined it so successfully that Barnet turned Labour which it never did during the 40 years I lived there.
No wonder the orange toddler is unhinged once again.
The Obamas are competent, classy, loving, Harvard and Princeton graduates, loved by many, not on the Epstein files, got the Nobel Peace Prize, and gave us a steady economy to boot.
Repost this if you agree they are AMAZING and an inspiration!
Last night made two things very clear. People love the Ospreys. And they hate a stitch up.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.
