Yes it’s definitely fascinating to sift through 😂 I feel like a need a bingo card to mark all that I’m recognizing. I almost screamed when she mentioned a shelf of Elsie Dinsmore books…a very IYKYK moment (fiction books that were super conservative propaganda for upper elementary-aged girls)

Audiobook of Natalie Naudus’ novel, Gay the Pray Away
I’ve been listening to Gay the Pray Away by Natalie Naudus. It’s an honest, insightful portrayal of a high school senior starting to perceive life beyond her religious programming. I’m enjoying this even as I identify strongly with so much of it. 😅
