Of course, in the film it took the Computer a considerable amount of time to crack the codes and launch. Whereas today 'a considerable amount of time' is probably minutes, at best.

Alternatively, when in doubt have a man come in the door with a crab in his hand. It's an excellent conversation starter.

Book (Strange Buildings, Uketsu), glasses case, coffee, lemon cake.

Another Monday, a new read. I've read Uketsu's Strange Houses so I'm looking forward to this one. One of these days I shall have to track down Strange Pictures. Sometimes it feels like the 'personality' is selling the product, but this is good product.

For Shakespeare, as a local boy, I've got to support the Tempest tho it has its issues. That said, if I was naming a playwright of the period other than Wobbledagger, I'd go Ben Johnson: The Alchemist. By far my favorite play, full stop.

Still working through the Great Siege of Malta. Highly recommended to lovers of history; the machinations of the Ottomans and the Knights of Malta are instructive tales.

see, when I impulse buy it's blu-ray from Kino Lorber or Criterion. Which, given import duties and shipping, is probably about as expensive as concert tickets, though perhaps not as expensive as *these* concert tickets.
