Calling it a night here. The "main" leaves with the spines/thorns are done!
The main....pod? Head? Trap? THING???? is done
Everything gets primed with plastidip tomorrow

I also sliced my finger wide open cutting the leaves
Ironic and Iconic blood has gone into this build

DETAIL AND SHAPING
Done with foam clay

And the inside! Added another couple wooden dowels to hold onto to work the mouth and moved the inside foam to hide the dowels so now when it's fully open only mouth is visible!

In motion

Foam added to the sides to create more of a jaw and support
World's most basic hinge with a wooden dowel through it

It was about the size and shape of a rugby ball
Flower pot altered and the pod was cut open again!
