I thought students as customers was a description of reality than a metaphor. But guess we all see the world differently 🙃
Have never had as many students in crisis in my courses. I keep thinking about pedagogy moving forward!
Read an interview with a college president about backlash against elites and what that means for colleges and not mentioned was how going all in on "ai" might undermine legitimacy (esp for that inst). So now I'm rewatching TMC's piece.

Timely scholarship in the context of plans to introduce more work requirements to reduce SNAP take-up.
This article shows that a) lower burdens (using existing administrative data) increases SNAP take-up which b) contributes to greater earnings later in life.
