What's that South Park episode where Trump doesn't get a peace prize for ending wars and then start a war
One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, βand then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.
How easy it is for a single man to sh*t on the world. Over and over again, through history. And we let them, we let them, we let them. Learning nothing.
So let me get this straight: Lukoil was sanctioned when Russia invaded Ukraine, which is a no-no for Europe. But now Chevron, which is 100% involved in the US invasion of Venezuela, is allowed to operate scot-free??
And of course, these issues are not exclusive to Finland. But for a country that used to be peaceful, equal, safe, and frequently considered the "happiest" country, it's especially bleak to see this quick downfall

The kind of timeline synchronicity you wait your whole life for.
I had a great time listening to @vlfuller.bsky.social talk about grant writing yesterday at the @viikki-postdoc.bsky.social workshop. It can be scary to apply for grants, but chatting about it with peers make it easier, or at least more fun. Thanks Vanessa, youβre inspiring!
