4H Round Up was a success! One geology tour and one “Exploring Geoscience” workshop with a total of 40 students 😊 We covered geology careers, research, water analyses, porosity & permeability, and geology in everyday life.

I am grateful to USSSP for supporting U.S. scientist participation, and am grateful to have been awarded student research grants that provided funding to support an OSU geology undergraduate student to join the sampling party as well.

IODP Exp403 sampling party is a wrap. We took over 22,000 individual samples from sedimentary cores drilled within the Fram Strait (a passage located between Svalbard and Greenland).
