I thought it's very fitting that flowers can't physically move, just like how Hythlodaeus has no will to change anything. However, Louis had "wings" so he could always follow his ideal.
In this case Moa represents the royal flowers while Louis as the Charadrius bird, will fly away toward Moa’s place, where he awaits.
While painting, I had the "Heaven" theme in mind. I wish we could have seen more of Louis after his death... Moa's soul left on the same day as Louis iirc and Louis never met his "More" form so 🥹
