Pete did NOT explicitly use the word bankrupt to describe MFA. He consistently criticized the plan as fiscally irresponsible, arguing it would create a "multi-trillion-dollar hole" and was "questionable" regarding costs. He proposed a public option: MFAWWI.
So NO, he didn't literally say bankrupt.
Pete never said it would "bankrupt the country." He said it would be expensive & so disruptive to private insurance that it wouldn't be feasible out of the gate. instead, he offered Medicare for All Who Want It, arguing if the Medicare option were successful, people would organically choose it.
Nope, real hair, just the way the gray grows in once you turn 60.
This is me now, shorter hair, at 66. I'm happy with who I am.
At least I show myself and don't hide behind some false image.
PS. When you resort to attacking people's looks, you've kinda lost the argument.
Honestly, the Dems have a really deep bench. I hope we have a healthy, constructive primary season where the nation sees just how talented the Democratic field is. I also hope that all of the volunteers and supporters of each specific candidate don't try and go scorched earth on the other candidates

Most of the footage you've probably seen is when he's giving interviews about policy or politics, so you're not going to get coffee shop conversation from him. Perhaps we've all just grown too accustomed to leaders who can't speak in complete sentences. Pete is wicked smart. Deal with it.
I was in the audience that night. it was a blast. My cover photo was taken immediately after the show taping concluded, up on the set.
Bashear, Kelly, Pritzker, Harris, possibly Shapiro and Moore, maybe Whitmer
He worked at McKinsey in his mid to late 20s, for 3 years. He's spent 8 years as a mayor, 4 years as a cabinet member, & a year in combat as part of the reserves. He's also a Rhodes Scholar. Each of these things has done more to inform who Pete is than some job in his 20s. Kindly sit down & STFU.
You clearly haven't spent any significant time with him in town halls and small groups. He connects quite well. It's how he won Iowa in rural, more conservative counties, and almost beat Bernie in NH--two states where intelligent voters who are used to vetting candidates can smell inauthenticity.
A wicked smart ticket with two great communicators.
Preach.
Exactly. I dropped the December Atlas Intel Poll in the comments to substantiate this.
People just make shit up based on their own feelings and the fact that they can find people on here who agree with them.
He's one of the most well-like politicians in the country with the highest favorables of all potential candidates according to the December Atlas Intel poll (they were the highest rated polling agency coming out of the '24 election).
Pete and AOC consistently land at the top of these polls.
Let's be honest: in a country of 200+ million potential voters, no one is alone in their policy priorities and lines in the sand that helps fill their list of presidential candidates they'd support. The key is finding a candidate that can get to 270.
Who are your candidates that can do this?
Why do you care who blocks you or even who follows you? Real life, outside of these social media platforms, is still where it's at. Nothing that is said or happens on here is ultimately going to influence the next election or future policy decisions. These silos are just echo chambers.
The AI-generated fake stories exist all over social media. It's so frustrating.
Totally fake from start to finish. Never happened. Sharing fiction is harmful.
Exactly! I tell this to folks all the time. At public events as Pete volunteers, the Bernie Bros were by far the nastiest to us (followed by the Yang Gang and Warren folks). Online, too, along with Rose Twitter.
We'd be all, "and if their candidate is the nominee, they think we'd wanna join THEM?"
You have 666 followers. That tracks.
Many far lefties in our party tell us every fault they find with every Dem candidate, yet when you ask them who they believe on the left could get to 270, all you get back is crickets. They've got nothing: just nastiness, anger, division, and a laundry list of purity tests.
Good. Fucking. Grief.
Gore won. The election was stolen from him by the Supreme Court. He was a class act in ending the stalemate.
Loser stink? Hardly.
The Shadow app shit the bed. It didn't work. It actually hurt Pete, it didn't help him. it cost him being declared the winner the night of the caucus and robbed of huge momentum going into NH, which he barely lost to Bernie.
Facts matter. Every count of the caucus results showed Pete won.
There is no AND in that result. Pete won Iowa by securing the most delegates. Hard stop.
We don't say Bush AND Gore both won the 2000 election, or that Trump AND Hillary won the 2016 election.
So Patrick ... who's your magic candidate that shares all or most of your policy positions and gets to 270 in the Electoral College.
It's so easy to say who you don't like. Share with us the Dems who you think have a shot to win in '28.
#SlayerPete FTW on Fox News, yet again.
