but i think there really is a cognitive load reason why i'm gravitating toward plot-driven lately for longer works
i'm still buying and reading nonfiction but it tends to be slower going lately--a few chapters at a time over months
have seen this floating around today—finally read it and hate that it resonates a bit
it uses a specific part of my brain to consume longform nonfiction, and that part of my brain has just not been fully available to me in my free time for the last 14 months

also mainly seems to be the men who get asked to muse about anything and everything in public. You generally don't see as much of Chavez-DeRemer, McMahon, Rollins, Loeffler etc unless their agencies are specifically in hot water for something
