Thankfully, we have a chance to do the right thing for Wisconsin, now. I enthusiastically support giving the people of Wisconsin the option to buy into BadgerCare.

If done right, it will lower costs, reduce medical debt, and point the way towards truly universal care. (2/2)

When the Affordable Care Act was debated and written (shortly after President Obama was first sworn into office!) we came very close to having a nationwide public healthcare option, for the first time. Unfortunately, it was bulldozed by the private healthcare industry. (1/2)

FACT: Wisconsin's state & local taxes as a % of income are at an all-time low for the 2nd year running. So why are people so upset about taxes?

The answer is simple - WI is a regressive tax state, meaning that the less money you make the higher your combined state+local effective tax rate.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.
