Is it possible that the best photographs ever taken of James Stewart, Lee Marvin, John Ford and Lee Van Cleef are all the same one?

Rewatch of βLA Takedownβ affirms that it is a better film than βHeatβ. The comparison really highlights how bloated Heat is, and how much of it is superfluous. Best example is Chris, who fades out of Heat, and is almost absent in LA Takedown, which has a tighter, clearer script.
Overlook Hotel, July 4th Ball 1921.
Amazing who you bump into.
Light was perfect.
Choose your fighter.
Iβve had this a little while. Perfect fit and feels tailored to me, but obtained via op-shop/vintage. Heavier than a modern suit. Seems the Ernest Wirth factory opened in Elizabeth in 1961, although online search results claim he may have been operating since the 1940s. Anyone have any intelβ¦?
I was only 16 the first time I read this. I hadnβt lived long enough to be able to understand its power, nor was I wise enough to read between the lines, nor aware enough to join the dots of political context. Painful and potent to revisit, but well worth it.
From my old May β83 Time magazine, which I revisited recently. Despite Lucasβs exit and the Disney takeover, the prequels and sequels turned out pretty much as projected all those years ago.
Bond gone to Amazon, you say?
Nearly as old as I am and in perfect working order. Like new, in fact. Iβve sent my last word processed letter.
Pic from last month at the cinema. Iβm the (only) one in the mask.
I call him Rick.
Got totally distracted watching βThe Misfitsβ when Clark Gable pulled a surprise Riker Manouvre in front of Marilyn. The earliest caught on film, unless you know better.
One of the greatest films of the 80s was posted on YouTube 5 hours ago. Enjoy βDeathtrapβ in all its deliciousness.

Lynchian.
Itβs not the years. Itβs the mileage.
Things donβt get much more Lynchian than that bit in βMulholland Driveβ when Mileyβs dad pops up.
In 2005 Daniel Craig was cast as James Bond. 20 years later, as no successor has been named, he is still the latest 007.
Splendid Christmas gift: advent book box. 24 individually wrapped books, one for each day of December in the lead up to Christmas. Real beauty of it is accepting the randomness of someone elseβs curated choice, which takes me out of my usual preferences and into territory I may not have explored.
Was advised today that I make an appearance in the new Colin Firth drama βLockerbie: A Search for Truthβ via archival news footage. I recall giving this interview to Scottish Television news ahead of the compassionate release of Abdelbaset Al Megrahi.
Morning at the edge of the world.
Classic Mort Drucker from Mad magazineβs Top Gun spoof in 1986. The death of Goose.
