COMMISSION

A newly married couple, hands loosely bound by a ribbon as they gently show off each other's rings. The figure on the left is dressed in red traditional garb inspired by traditional Chinese wedding wear. The figure on the right is similarly dressed in a purple, gold, and orange sari, her fingers adorned with henna. Where their heads should be are two snakes, intertwined in a symbolic knot. The scene is bordered by a warm wooden frame with knotted patterns from various cultures embedded in its surface. A red Chinese knot decorated with tassels hangs from above.
