Born February 23, 1868, W.E.B. DuBois devoted his long life to the cause of racial equality. Though he joined the Communist Party in 1961, his work, especially Black Reconstruction in America, displayed a shift toward Marxism-Leninism. Comrade DuBois was truly a genius ahead of his time.

Local 506's divisional chief stewards are also taking up financial collections in their buildings and organizing their members to visit the IAM picket lines.
"We're repaying the support our members received during our local's two strikes," said Ryan Mudger, Local 506 president. "These striking IAM members are our neighbors, friends, and relatives who need our support now."

UE Local 506 members, who work at the Wabtec locomotive facility in Erie, PA, delivered tents, fire wood, and other supplies to 250 members of IAM Local 1211 who are on strike at the Parker Lord plant in Erie.
