I'm heartsick at the news that The Washington Post has laid off 30% of its staff, including everyone at Book World. I've freelanced for BW since 1988 & its editors, writers, & fellow reviewers felt like a family of sorts. Writing is an isolating business: everyone at Book World made it less so.
I'm just heartsick about this, Ron, for you and all the other editors and writers I've known there.
Logging out of here. Happy new year, everyone, you can find me if you want to via email!
But you have to use that title.
Me too.
Great stack! So excited to see Elwin Cotman there too!
Spectacular!!!
Thatβs awesome news, Corey! Congratulations!
I needed this.
Thank you so so much. That is one of my favorites as well β a tribute to my late and very dear friend Ben.
Iβm hanging with the wood people.
Be there or be square.
You are so often having fun! I aspire to your level of fun-ness.
I was having fun!
That's one from the vault!!
Thanks, Robert! I count Maine as Nordic. Not much light here come November.
Wow, that was a long time ago, in a β¦. Well, YOU know!
Thank you! What a wonderful thing to hear (read)!
Thank you so much! Though I feel like all the credit goes to the amazing actors, it is like they created another novel alongside the one I wrote.
I hope you enjoy it! And I love that cover, I thought it was just such an amazingly cool concept.
i knew it!
Congrats!!!
