This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

It was less impactful in the Dawntrail story when fighting Gulool Ja Ja when he's like "AH I SEE YOU ARE ALSO TRAINED IN THE WAY OF THE VIPER" cuz I just unlocked Viper to just have it unlocked and didn't level it or anything. But it's a nice addition!

Like i get it's scripted to check if you have WHM at a certain level, but I hadn't realized it was something they sprinkle in and the touch of customization/recognizing the player's accomplishments fucking got me

Sometimes I remember that scene back in Endwalker where you're in a big meeting room with people from all the nations/cities and that one WHM guy goes "...and accomplished white mage as yourself" and how it was THAT line that made me start the first bit of uncontrollable crying for the expac

I'm an omniclass player and by that I mean I am bad at every single jobclass
