Broke another temp record yesterday!
Classic lunch: salmon w baked young potatoes & spinach in cream sauce. Opened up another bottle of Touraine Sauvignon Blanc. Good!
Wish me strength, I have to mow the grass now!

Grocery shopping this morning.
For lunch I created a sauce w tomato, onion, garlic, fennel, bell pepper & herbs. Served it w tagliatelle & fried shrimps.
Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine as perfect accompaniment!

A run to the town hall for renewal of my
ID-card this morning & to the bank & pharmacy this afternoon.
Just had a 2nd serving of that delicious waterzooi for lunch w Douro Eagle.
Buying a 2nd hand couch for my man cave + home batteries keeps me busy!

Made (1st time) guinea fowl filets w ‘Brabant’ sauce (geuze, bacon, shallot, garlic, redcurrant jelly) served w stewed endive & young baked potatoes.

Very sunny + we broke the day’s record temperature w 19,8°C. Average temp on a 25/02 is 8,4°C.
As the pantry is empty we just had some pasta al ragù. Coffee w frangipane cake too!
Htje worked hard in the garden. We expect Tim on Saturday to prepare the garden for spring!

Busy day w calls & mails about house in F.
Went to the barber at 3:30 pm. But I was 1 month early! 🤣
#1Daughter came by & I a prepared a most delicious pasta al diavolo! Fantastic Ciliegiolo by Torre alle Tolfe as well!
Again a very rainy night but dry and grey now, 48°F.
No cooking Monday (except making some fresh soup w a calf’s tail.)
Lunch is 2nd serving of Thai rice & veggie wok with prawns, served w a white Bordeaux Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend by Ch. Le Virou.

Spent the whole morning on the phone with the communal services (very friendly) & in the kitchen preparing rabbit w cherries & raisins (very Flemish recipe) for the 2nd time! Used a bit too much stock resulting in a too thin sauce.

Ideal to visit #2Daughter and enjoy her hospitality (Indian fashion). (That girl has so many talents!). Delightful food!
