I agree that Cas expression correlates w editing efficiency. But I never really got why? Especially if the Cas is constitutively expressed from a stable locus and you only have two alleles to target. Cas (even if expressed at a “low” 100s copies) should eventually hit both alleles?
Grateful that established labs in our field support junior PIs and trainees! We visited the Izumiya Lab at Davis to learn CUT&RUN/TAG and discuss science. Can’t wait to start doing it in the lab! #virosky #virology #genomics
