Yeah they did a decent job with the series finale - actually all the ways they changed the story to suit TV I thought were really well done.
It's a series of novels, I highly recommend! The series did a pretty good job with it, as far as it went, but Amazon canceled it just about half way through :/

I gave my last kitty lion cuts every summer because she would get so hot she'd stop playing and grooming. The tuft I left at the end of her tail was always her favorite toy!
