Reminder: whether or not something is a war crime is just semantics if the criminals are never held accountable. And if the rest of the world continues to treat the war criminals with deference and respect (e.g. giving them a gift on Paddy's Day) it sends the message that we're OK with war crimes.
My favourite food would be a sort of generalised "Mediterranean"; Greek, Italian, Spanish, North African. So the way that's segmented makes it tough to choose.
F for football though. That's an easy one.
You've misread the brief. It says "worst", not "best".
I'll be a Spurs fan until I shuffle off this mortal coil. If we get relegated to the Conference League I will still support my team.
That said, if we appoint Roberto De Zerbi as our next manager I'll probably stop being an active fan until he's gone. Just ignore football altogether for a bit.
Occasionally, usually as I'm drifting off to sleep, I wish the Christians were right. Because there are definitely people who, by virtue of making our world more hellish than it needs to be, deserve a trip to the lake of fire afterwards.
Sadly, I fear they get the same long sleep as the rest of us.
I'll be seeing this tour in Dublin next week. *So* looking forward to it.
Between Byrne and Patti Smith, I will have seen the two greatest artists still touring, within the space of 6 months. The world's going to shit, but there are still glimpses of light.
So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and theyβre simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was βyour piano is too close to the fireplace, youβll dry it outβ and if thatβs not the internet in a nutshell I donβt know what is.
Doesn't matter if the people running the club are bloody clueless.
Any chance we can clone him 10 times and get rid of the rest of them?
At least we've got a shiny concert venue. There's certainly no football club there at the moment.
Think I'm going to switch it off now too. It's just painful.
Murder for the sheer joy of killing and the thrill of total impunity: a thing that should not really surprise us, historically speaking, nor in light of the tens of thousands of killings already killed in appalling atrocities carried out by or with the direct support of these men.
When I was In Brazil I was a passenger in a small helicopter. We were flying fairly low over the rainforest when the pilot told me to "take the controls - just hold it steady". He then proceeded to cut out and snort a massive line of coke while I quietly freaked out.

Offering you the chance to get in on the ground floor as they say, and invest in my new company. Our marketing slogan will be:
"When the rich and powerful fail to learn the lessons of history, what the people need is..."
The company name? "Gallows & Guillotines".
Never missed an issue of C&VG back in the day. And it was always supplemented with Crash when I had a ZX Spectrum, and later Zzap! when I switched to a C64.
Ah... those were the days!
Genuinely worried for Spurs now. I was flicking between the West Ham and Forest matches, and both teams played better football than we've managed recently.
They could actually string 3 passes together and their players showed a huge amount of fight. That'll count for a lot over the next few weeks.
Flicking between the West Ham and Forest matches and it's hard not to be worried for Spurs. Both teams are playing better football than we've managed recently.
Even if Forest lose this, their players are showing twice the fight of our lot. And that'll count for a lot over the next couple of months.
I'm at the "have to laugh, otherwise I'd be crying" stage of the season.
It's when your Fitbit starts posting your data to Bluesky that you really need to worry.

I'd like to think we'll be out of danger by then, but I genuinely have my doubts.
And while things look pretty bleak for your lot, momentum can be a powerful thing. It's not "likely", but nor is it completely beyond the realm of possibility that you survive.
Well, you still have to play us (Spurs), so that's another 3 points in the bag.
So who knows?
I agree. I have misgivings about Poch's return. And I don't think he'll suddenly fix the club. But he has a genuine passion for Spurs and right now I think we badly need that.
It's not "the solution", but it's definitely an important part of the solution and a crucial first step to fixing things.
I'd say *every* UBI trial has worked out badly.
For capitalists.
By making life less precarious for ordinary people, employers have less power over them. Capitalists lose out when their workers aren't feeling desperation.
And capitalists make the big decisions. Like whether UBI happens or not.
Do you think the parents of the schoolchildren who were murdered are feeling much hope now?
When you condemn Iran, but can't unequivocally condemn the mass murder of Iranian children, you have lost your way as a human being.
