We discovered new species of the tropical tree genus *Donella* in Madagascar by sequencing decades-old herbarium specimens. 

Our work, based on my master’s thesis at the Botanical Garden of Geneva, is now published in *Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution.*

Had a great week at #TIBS2026! Presented my first conference talk, listened to many interesting topics and got to chat with new people. All while exploring the cute city of Aarhus. The travel days were anything but smooth, but we made it back to Munich!
