Oh hi it's me your pal Panic. Strident literary feminist. Publishing desk job. Ran one marathon one time. "Worryingly erotic." "Disagreeable, quite shouty." "Alienating, dangerous, and perverse." #Toronto

You're just making smarter raccoons. ๐ฆ
One thing I refused to bring over here from the Bad Place is the Cult of the Big Account. I blocked or muted so many of the familiar ones. Woke up to one of them being shirty with me this morning and lady, I'm going to save you the energy. *block*
I felt VERY accomplishy with my three months of Duolingo Spanish. I had whole conversations in Spain! Granted I spoke like a toddler but it was awesome! (And then spoke to another tourist in their native German hee hee.)
Me too.
The people crave triangular rice snacks!
Sorry, Fuzz. That really sucks.
Saw the only two pro hockey games of my life here! One, the home opener after the won the Cup. I was a kid. It was fun.
Perhaps apocryphal but was told this ridiculous building is the reason so few big shows would come through Calgary; bands couldn't fit their rigs under the dumb ceiling. That said, the bloody thing IS iconic. Dad took an amazing photo of it in '88 with the Tower lit up and fireworks behind.
I'm just finishing up a book of his essays now and this feels exactly right.
I only mean his being from there probably pushes him even further right than the Ontario Faction.
He's from Alberta. So ๐ฌ
I was waiting for this one.
They absolutely do not.
Oh yeah. That's a normal human feeling when dealing with other humans. I honor that.
There are alllllllllways cliques. I bet like, chartered accountants have cliques.
Drumnadrochit it is. Aviemore doesn't have any open bookings for the day I'd be looking to pet coos. This way I also get to go to the castle so that's nice! The Citylink busses run from Inverness but also from the coo pickup to the castle and then from the castle back to Inverness. Handy!
A whole pack of them did this, not just one errant speed racer! Person walking in front of me almost got taken out by the lead cyclist, the one behind was coming right at me, I was yelling "Hey, HEY!" and they just looked right through me and kept going, another close behind. Wild times.
Every. Time.
Jesus Christ these people.
Dear cyclists turning left from Shaw to Bloor: YOU STILL NEED TO STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS ACTUALLY, NOT RUN THEM DOWN. Like come on.

In the fall! Just planning.
Bonus I could pop down to Urquhart Caste where in 1985 Wolverine refused to pay the ยฃ5 entry fee because "we used to play in there for free when I was a kid."
Hmmmm maybe Drumnadrochit for the win. Half hour bus from Inverness, they pick you up at the bus stop basically, so I could just go back that way and late train to Edinburgh. Plus I think my other cousin is living there now.
I was there 40 years ago. I remember nothing!
Family originated in Orkney so plan is Edinburgh (where family resides now) to Inverness, 3-day Orkney tour from there.
I would walk that distance easily if it was the city. But who knows what sort of walk that is out in the country. Anyway, they demand you have a car. Booooo.
Ah bugger. That seals it!
"Own vehicle is required as you will follow the Ranger in their vehicle to the Farm."
