Been thinking about teaching again since my wife lost her job and we need a reliable income, and assuming I could teach full time (unlikely when you’re an adjunct) I could *maybe* make $50k a year before taxes. So that would just about cover our cost of living assuming we don’t eat.
The last five years for me have been very difficult for my mental health in terms of being an artist. I’m having a lot of doubts, and I’m having a hard time finding the inclination to keep making art. Is anyone else feeling the same way and what has helped?

I mostly keep the drawing oriented the same way the entire time. I might tilt a little but I find I get lost with whether or not the hatching is working if I rotate too much.

It’s about 3:1 water to ink, but I don’t measure it out exactly, I just mess w/it until it looks right. I use tap water but the artist I learned this from uses distilled water as it won’t separate from the ink or clog the feed of the brush. I haven’t had have too many problems with tap.
