Tänä vuonna puustomittauksia (elävät puut + kuolleet puut) ovat tehneet Emilia Ruokolainen, Sofia Pulkka, Aino Vuolli ja Juha Karvonen. Kausi on juuri päättynyt. Iso kiitos upealle maastotiimille. Jatkamme @luke.fi ssa aineiston analysointia; mittaukset ja lajistoinventoinnit jatkuvat ensi vuonna.

Tuntemattomat luonnonmetsät hankkeessa @koneensaatio.fi #MetsänPuolella lasketaan ja raportoidaan luonnonmetsänäytealojen perustamisvaiheessa tehtyjen mittausten tulokset, mitataan elävä ja kuollut puusto, tutkitaan puuston muutosta @luke.fi ja tehdään laji-inventointeja #LUOMUS.

Saimme @koneensaatio.fi rahoituksen Tuntemattomien luonnonmetsien tutkimiseen. Paikannamme ja uudelleen mittaamme näytealoja (n=350), jotka on perustettu 1990-luvulla luonnontilaisiin metsiin ja sen jälkeen lähes unohdettu. Elävää ja kuollutta puustoa koskevat tulokset valmistumassa #MetsänPuolella

Our new study by Ťupek et al (doi.org/10.5194/bg-2...) found that N fertilization lowers soil microbial respiration sensitivity to moisture slowing C loss & enhancing soil C storage in boreal forests.
