been in an art rut lately but my beloveds always bring me back 🧡

A photo of two crocheted dolls taken against a white background. Both amis are about ten inches tall, have wired arms, and are worked up from my own private pattern. The first is Thom Rainier (Blackwall from Dragon Age: Inquisition), and the other is Ilia Trevelyan (@kccodes.bsky.social's OC). Thom is dressed in his standard brown fit—dark boots and gloves, gambeson, belt, chain mail peeking out from the open bottom of his gambeson—and has brushed yarn hair and facial hair which has been needle felted into place. His eyes are also needle felted, and his dark hair has light streaks at the temples. Each ear has a tiny hoop earring. His gambeson has embroidered Xs along the right arm. Other small details are also embroidered. Ilia is wearing her Inquisitor jammies—tan trousers, brown boots with laces, a dark blue top with long sleeves and metal clasps down the front (yarn here, not metal). She has white skin and red-brown hair, which is a nice cinnamon color here. It's tied up into a bun, though a few strands hang around her face. Her eyes are brown, and are needle felted. In this shot, Thom has his arm over Ilia's shoulders, and she has an arm around his back.
