ICE arrests Brazilian asylum-seeker paying speeding ticket at Franklin County courthouse
The arrest of a Brazilian man, in the nation legally while awaiting a decision on his asylum case, is one of many recent reports of ICE arrests.
"He was following the law. That's why we don't understand."
A Brazilian man who was living with his family in Westerville as he awaited a decision on an asylum appeal was arrested by ICE while paying a speeding ticket last week in Columbus. Now he's detained.

'They didn't listen': Muslim woman speaks out on Columbus police response to her assault
CAIR-Ohio and other organizations are demanding Columbus police further investigate an assault on a Muslim woman March 25 that was captured on video.
A video shows this Muslim woman being attacked outside her Franklinton home.
She says police haven't done anything, despite the attack taking place 3 weeks ago.
"I'm the one who called, I'm the victim," she said of police. "They didn't think I mattered. ... When I talked, they didn't listen."

Ohio BMV touts kids' ID program as way to help find missing children
Ohio's ID R Kids program, giving ID cards to children, could help police find them when they go missing, BMV says to missing persons working group.
Could getting your child an Ohio identification card help police find them if they go missing?
