My dominant hand is out of commission currently, so that's the best my other hand could summon ~
Hopefully I'll get better with time, both at using my other hand and at managing the pain in the one that draws better.

Happy Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse! ๐๐ฅ
May it bring the strength to pursue goals, the resilience to resist adversity, and the unwavering resolve to stand by what is right.
Let's charge onward with vigour, unhindered by uncertainty and unbound by falsehoods, towards a brighter future for all.
A monochrome pink and purple drawing of a cartoonish looking antlered tiger that resembles a housecat with round ears drawn in ball-point pen.
A more realistic looking pen sketch of the head of a tiger in green with blue stripes and antlers.
Don't let anyone tell you to not use a reference when drawing something you're not familiar with!
(I'm a lot more used to drawing housecats, and when trying to draw a tiger from memory... it showed)
It's too true ๐ญ
I found the costco bake-at-home ones to be quite nice because they somehow manage the softness and don't /feel/ gluten free.
Downside: They contain milk.
So - this boy after one of those cookies?
Toilet bound and cramping.
Still worth it every once in a few months though!
Not quite, but I think I will today!
Very solid name ๐ฅ
Today I switched my brain off by just focusing on solving a old fashioned cardboard jigsaw puzzle. I'd not done that for years, but it was an oddly soothing experience.
Lately my health is slowing my creative output, as I am often too weak to even lift a pencil when ideas initially strike.
I've taken to voice-notes to keep some record of them, since my brain isn't really cooperating as well as I'd wish for it to.
Still, I'd rather draw more.
But it's something ๐ธ
Only one way to find out, isn't there?
The neat thing about such things is that we can do them in our own time and with the support of awesome skilled people around us, just to see how it goes!
I know it's hard to be patient and overcome self-doubts, but I wish you fun & success - rooting for you ๐ธ
Wolpertinger is the Jackalopes cool uncle โจ
A semi realistic portrait sketch of two young men. At a 45ยฐ angle, a boy with dark skin and coarse curls, looking up at a blonde boy in profile view who's absent mindedly staring half off into the middle distance, half at the person in front of him.
Sometimes the chill social vibes are so good that new characters awaken. These two guys are gonna be lodging rent free in my brain cage until I find a good story to set them free in โจ
Sketching is just so fun and soothing. I'm grateful that my friends don't think me rude for doing it around them.
THIS! The "too old to transition successfully" narrative is transphobic propaganda.
*High five from a millennial trans person to you* Live and thrive!
I was typing that exact sentence in a previous reply, but ran out of letters ๐
The stage at which you suck at something being a crucial part of getting good at it should be more commonly accepted.
It's why I love your "Art is Gacha" video a lot: "RNG improves with practice" explains that so well!
This distortion through the social media lens is genuinely heartbreaking to deal with, because so many people did incredible things in fields that have nothing to do with what they did in life until they were 30, 40 or even 50 - But many young people end up so self defeatist they might never start.
A pencil sketch if a dog-shaped dragon-head with horns, whiskers and some detailed scales around its 4 sets of eyes. In the background, the outline of the dragons clawed wings are hinted at in vague pencil lines.
How did I draw this 9 years ago? What happened, where did that skill go? HOW?? I miss drawing dragons so much~
Sort of? It's usually in open group chats rather than traditional social media though - I feel like threads and comment sections make it feel weird/inappropriate to suddenly DM someone - even asking if it's ok to do is uncomfortable, maybe because it feels exposed like screaming in an open space?
A photo of a Robin on a stone ledge, looking to the right.
A photo of the same Robin looking down to the right from the corner of the seam between two concrete bricks it's standing over. Behind it is a metal milk/sauce jug containing clean wooden coffee stirring sticks and next to it a red slightly larger empty mackerel tin to dispose of used coffee stirrers.
Another photo of this very pudgy robin, staring just past the camera disapprovingly
A profile view of the Robin standing on top of a wall / windowsill, concealing the birds chonky nature somewhat due to the angle its shot at.
Made a friend on today's little outing to grab dirty chai for partners ~ just look at this cheeky little chump!
I love robins, they used to be my favourite birds. I also love Dick Grayson but there's a whole different can of worms.
Thankyou-Yes,This!
I'd not be where Iam today without kindness or patiently communicating and growing into being comfortable in my own skin or sitting with my own feelings. Compassion is crucial to hear others out and be considerate in expressing my needs AND finding partners that LISTEN and care.
Four portraits of the character Mutsuki from the Tokyo Ghoul Manga by Ishida Sui. Chronologically from lower right he's sketched with only a round green messy pixie cut colored in and his right eye darkened by RC cells. Above is a sketch of the same character from a later ark, now with white shoulder length hair and the skin coloured in, crying. On the top right is a sketche of the character smugly smiling and wearing a black eyepatch on his right eye, with a slightly shorter asymmetrical haircut and still white hair. In the bottom right corner is the character this time in profile view, serenely looking off onto the distance with once again slightly shorter white hair, the eyepatch insinuated by a shadow barely visible from the perspective but with the strap wrapping around his head to indicate it's still there
It's a bit late for his birthday, which was the 14th but I was hit with the urge to draw my problematic fave quinx kiddo again. Okay no, who am I kidding they are all my favourites, Tokyo Ghoul will forever live on in my mind rent free. So here's some sketches of Tooru Mutsuki โจ
Your art is delightful! โจ
A shit post composed hips-up screenshot of Tifa from the Final Fantasy 7 remake game on a black background and captions. The character is a slender woman with a light complexion and long black hair, wearing a tanktop, tactical fingerless gloves and red forearm armour. The captions read "This is aunt Tifa, you should be scared!", "She does property damage - and really believes in... Wait for it: 'protecting the environment' ", "Watch out for this crazy bitch" and "She might kick or punch you if you don't shoot first"
This calls for this classic piece of garbage I made years ago:
Im sorry for destroying the nice number of likes, but I can't not like cute birds! Those are some great photos โจ
Welcome to bluesky, I hope you have a wonderful time here and I look forward to seeing more of your work ๐ธ
Your style is gorgeous! โจ
A watercolour painting of a yellowfin tuna with a blue upper side, a yellow streak on its side and a silver-gray underside and the artists handle @Zeraphinda written along its lower tail-fin
When I first painted this, it coincided with the officially recognised start of the war in Ukraine. Conflict in Gaza has since escalated and many more are suffering. I donated to charities I was recommended but I want to know/do more.
Please share resources on how to best help those most affected!
A digital sketch of a humanoid moth made white lines on a black background with red highlights on the eyes and the eye patterns on the wing.

What's your favourite creepy creature?
For me, Mothman has got to be a winner!
A photo of a grumpy looking old long haired and brown striped tomcat with a hand petting behind its ear, resting on a concrete slab with some foliage in the background.
Same! Here's another grumpy old man, just for you: His name is Rawrston (I didn't name him) ~ He's 16 this year.
A meme image of a somewhat heavy ginger cat sitting on a concrete bench, which has snapped down the middle with one of the benches legs crushed underneath. The bench is labelled "Me" while the cat has an arrow with the text "The weight of my GB expectations" pointing at it.
What better way to start the week than with a sweet self call-out fresh off the meme presses?
