I think I made an account during the pandemic but never used it. I may give it a second look.

I feel like I’m usually the only person interacting with you. It’s weird how little engagement there is on this platform. Posts just aren’t seen. I don’t blame you for concentrating where you can get more traffic. I’m here because it’s better than X, but I’m also not trying to grow a business.
That’s about all we know. It was announced at like 2am, and no further justification has been offered.
racist pedophile* dementia grandpa, but same.
Separating your journey from your history is difficult but essential to a free and fuller life.

Well, Revan was captured, mind wiped, and brainwashed. But yes, the rule doesn’t resolve every problem. My understanding from SW lore generally is the there will always be some entity drawn to the dark side. The force exists in that polarity. But I could be way off on that.
Revan devised said doctrine partly because of the incompetency on Korriban witnessed in KOTOR. But it took Bane, so many years later, to finally put it into practice.
In the Darth Bane novels, the Sith had become bureaucratic, vain, and incompetent. Bane was a zealot out for power and tricked the Sith council into killing themselves so he could concentrate knowledge, power, and devotion into two. He acquired this idea from one of Revan’s holocrons.
Wait, I thought 2025 was still “Biden’s economy.”
Makes sense. My wife once referred to the pectorals as “chest abs.”
Why would we expect any different?
Alex has slowly built his channel over ten years. It seems the qualities of his success (and really any podcast or YouTube channel) is creativity and consistency. I think you’re employing these through your revamp. So, I bet in time you’ll be sharing the path of sage-hood with increasing publicity.
Yes, he is from that side of the pond. I believe he’s soon starting a speaking tour around the UK.
Alex has a popular YouTube channel called CosmicSkeptic; his podcast is Within Reason. He started out as a standard new atheist type, then went to Oxford, and now he spends a lot of time discussing philosophy of religion and doing interviews. I think those monikers are likely uncharitable.
Exactly, you said in one post what it took me three to say 😄
Lastly, consider David’s instruction Solomon in 1 Kings 2, that the king not depart from the law of Moses. The continued faithfulness of the people is tied to the king’s. So if any individual is in view, it’s the ruler of the people, who is the government.
Good heavens, Mike, just read the prophets to see how God responded to not following this instruction. It wasn’t “individual believers,” an anachronistic distinction, but the covenanted people, the nation. In scripture, nations are judged. Even in the NT, corporate language takes precedent.

That is the worst biblical defense for anything I’ve ever seen. “When the stranger sojourns with you…” Sojourns where? In the land, as the previous verse makes clear. In fact, the entire chapter is about how to be holy, specifically in the land. Are we to imagine the Torah didn’t apply to the kings?

Someone needs to expose Big Top Hat and their lies!
It seems highly significant that a sitting president is mentioned over and over and over in connection with the largest trafficker in modern history. But I’m also not paid to run hourly cover for his corruption.
Sad to say, but it is Texas. About 30 miles to the north is a city called Grapevine. Their school district has been a hot bed for Christian nationalism and open racism for years.
I find the Christian (mainly Catholic) ban on contraception odd. Placing the emphasis on the “procreative function” strikes me as arbitrary. I’d heard this idea extended back to the Stoics, some of them anyway, so this should be interesting.
I remember thinking Black Sails was a forward thinking show for its brief instances of dudity. Only seems fair.
The attitude here in Arkansas seems to be, “the sun’ll take care of it.” And the one snow plow employed only succeeding in removing mail boxes.
Thx for the support last Friday for the MN General Strike

A beautiful morning sun lighting up the ice covered trees. Everything is made of glass.
Thankfully, the power never went out; despite the fact that everything is covered in a solid layer of ice. From what I can tell, the entire city is halted. We are still not accustomed to ice storms in the south.
