Audax tilts his head so that his cheek rests against Crowley's. He literally can't remember not loving Crowley - that was how he came into existence. But over time, he's relearned why. A lot of it has to do with how kind Crowley is, in spite of his own protests.

"Charlotte in full, remember? You named her," Audax says with a teasing smile.
"...I did, didn't I," Crowley says, dredging the memory up from that first day. "You were smaller then, weren't you?"
'Spider was young. Old and BIG now.'

'Spiders love Snake too,' pipes up the spokespider. 'Even when Snake mean to Big Spider.' Crowley winces. He's still ashamed of his behavior those first few weeks, when he'd taken his grief for Aziraphale out on Audax regularly as if it was somehow his fault for losing his memories.
