After receiving some very nice fanart earlier, I've only now realised that I haven't actually posted my Dessriel fankid here! Fixing that now, introducing Winter Holiday-Dreemurr!

Nice work! Man I gotta update this account with some of my more recent stuff
I wanted to make a quick fanart of Winter, The Dess and Asriel fanchild of @cubedman42.bsky.social
And of course him having an offscreen crossover with my Krampus lol
Disclaimer: No way this is canon to my AU, I gotta keep my little Krampus miserable and stuck in Castle Town :)

He was 'Pop Pop' Smurf before but then The Smurf Village passed comprehensive gun control and he had to rebrand
The moral of the story is to always be aware of the rhythm and pace of any story you tell. The audience needs time to feel things, and you can trample good emotionality by rushing it along. It's extra work, but just an additional panel, paragraph, or page, can make all the difference (4/4)
So I sketched up a whole new page, giving the audience and Dess time to settle down from the previous panic. By the time I realised my mistake, I was already pretty tired of this project and was having a lot of trouble with colouring, but I still drew it anyway (3/4)
Originally, Dess would've taken a deep breath on page 6 and said in the next panel that she should go home, a frustrated look on her face. I realised not only did this seem cruel, I wasn't giving enough time to let the audience BELIEVE in the emotions of the scene (2/4)
This one's been out long enough that I feel I can share a bit of behind-the-scenes stuff. The seventh page of this comic was actually a VERY late addition. Like, 'added in while I was already most of the way done with colouring the pages leading up to it,' late addition. (1/4)
Fairly amateur in the field itself but I've been writing/making/obsessing over comics for as long as I can remember
One of the weirdest parts of the modern AI hellscape is that it legitimately feels like some fae curse.
I know people who are so creative and so intelligent who now believe they're complete dunces without the constant help of some corporate slop machine, they can't imagine functioning without it.
