I love bastard swords (also called hand and a half swords!) It's blade is just a bit longer than a standard one-handed sword (like a typical arming sword) but with enough of a handle to use in one or two hands!
A bastard Sword, which are also called hand-and-a-half Swords, are little longer than a typical one handed sword but have enough of a handle to use two hands or one!
Claymores are a bit bigger (and usually quite heavier) than a normal longsword (which are all two handed, contrary to modern media!)
Honestly, a glaive has a lot of class! I prefer bastard Swords, but Danish longswords are high up there too! Also partial to halberds!

In my D&D campaign, the party successfully decieved some kobolds by having one party member disguised as a kobold tell them they're to stand by until given a signal. The Kobolds names were "one" "two" "three" and "five" and the party was freaking out trying to find "four". "Four" did not exist. :)
