A couple from our collective were happy to explain the origins, purpose and progress of our campaign to the lovely folks at @shoutoutradio.bsky.social. Have a listen to the full episode, and our interview from 02.25 seconds in:

Thank you to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for your clear support for the trans community. In a political climate where too many are stepping back, visible allyship from political leaders matters.
We were proud to meet Zack at launch of the Trans Lives Report by @transactualuk.bsky.social
Weβve seen some really positive, cross-party support in recent months, following constructive discussions with several MPs. Further affirmation of inclusive, compassionate attitudes being the norm towards the trans+ community π
More than 86,000 women have now signed the Not In Our Name letter to say that trans exclusion is not what we want and should not be done on our behalf.
If youβre a woman who believes in dignity, fairness and standing alongside our trans+ siblings, add your name:
notinourname.org.uk
The findings are stark and deeply concerning, but the atmosphere was one of solidarity and shared resolve, with so many people committed to challenging hostility and standing up for trans+ lives.

The numbers are growing. 42 organisations have signed our open letter against the transphobic 'biological sex' framing of trans people.
Be part of the movement. Sign the letter, and have your voices heard, in a world that tries to silence us all.

In case you didnβt see it, we shared the first 100 letters of love earlier: notinourname.org.uk/letters-of-l...
Youβre right, it is cis women we are inviting to sign. We make that clear on the letter itself
Dear NION organizers,
just read all of the letters and what you did here was great!
We are usually drowned out by hate because haters are so much louder. You just started to change that.

And if youβre part of the trans+ community, these words are for you.
With love, NION Women π©·
I am so sorry for all the horror you're going through right now. You have done nothing to deserve this. Nothing at all, it's not in the slightest bit fair. Please know there are more people who support you than not. I have friends who are trans women and they are some of the kindest, smartest, bestest friends I've ever had. They are the epitome of female solidarity. I will always support the trans community and I do a lot of education to my cis friends. Much love to you xxxxx #WithTheT
Tens of thousands of women are saying clearly and publicly that exclusion is not in our name.
Amid relentless headlines and political posturing, something else is happening too. Women are reaching out. Women are listening. Women are choosing to speak up and stand alongside their trans siblings.
Well done for existing and being your authentic self. You have struggled through so much and, as your epiphany is an ongoing process, I hope your joy of discovery will be deep and flow through every part of you. I see you as your chosen self and delight in being a fellow human alongside you. Thank you for being part of this world and I hope we can make it a better place together. Your insights inform those of us who haven't been through your journey - please share them where and when you are safe to. I have benefitted so much from your community and I will be praying for our safety and ongoing transformation as we all travel together. My hope is that you can live well and love life in all its fulness. With much love ECL #WithTheT
They are written with love for the whole trans community, trans women, trans men and non-binary people, because when we say we stand with you, we mean all of you.
These letters sit alongside a growing movement. More than 85K women have now signed our statement of support for the trans+ community.
My heart breaks for the awful things that trans people have had to endure over the last few years. It's just not fair. I just wanted you to know that I, for one, am a cis woman who will do whatever I can to speak out against the injustices. You have my love and my solidarity always. Together we will get through this and out the other side. Stay strong and keep hopeful. Yours, Mandy #WithTheT
On Valentineβs Day, we invited women to write letters of love to the trans community.
Since then, weβve received more than 140 letters, from women across the country and from all walks of life. Each one offering love, encouragement and solidarity at a time.
Today weβre sharing the first three...
Congratulations on such a well-played campaign. Also, we would class this as one of the good internet receiptsππ»
Thanks for speaking up @greenpartyhan.bsky.social π

That history matters. Because it shows that growth is possible and that feminism is not fixed. That women can, and do, choose inclusion.
If youβre one of the many women who feels uncomfortable with the way trans people are being used to divide us, this is for you: tinyurl.com/NION-LGBTHM
Yes, there have been those who have excluded and created divides, but there have also always been women who chose solidarity.
Women who challenged those who tried to gatekeep women's spaces and refused to accept that trans women should be pushed out in feminismβs name.

A history worth remembering: Trans inclusive feminism Image of women at Camp Trans
Weβre ending LGBT History Month with a reminder.
The story weβre being told right now is that feminism and trans inclusion have always been in conflict.
History tells a more complicated, and more hopeful, story.

85k before the weekend folks for the excellent @nionwomen.bsky.social? You might have questions or concerns about sharing spaces, but hopefully youβll look at whatβs happening in the world (hello USA πΊπΈ) and conclude there is a more compassionate way. Sign and share here: notinourname.org.uk
We will share more letters of support this week. We actually got loads, so just want to collate them properly. As we approach 85k signatures alongside all the positive comments, we are also convinced that many women feel the same
Starting the week on 84k signatures, with offers to take the campaign outside the UK. We are hugely encouraged by the response and hope to reach many more everyday women who feel the same
More to come this week. We received loads, all lovely, so we will collate and share
Thank you for your ongoing support. We know youβve been there since early on in our campaign
Hoping to get a little more media coverage as we hit 85k signatures. Itβs not all we are doing, but keeping those signatures coming helps get the MP and media attention we need to hold deeper conversations
We are trying to engage UK women, but please do share if youβre happy to. We have had interest from overseas and are considering how this could be used outside of the uk. Thank you π
More than 80K women have already signed our letter to say: not in our name - we support the trans+ community.
If that resonates with you, join us. Add your name.

We are mums. Daughters. Sisters. Survivors.
We understand what safety really means.
Our voices should never be used to justify exclusion or discrimination of trans people.
