My second time drawing at the drawing group. I went with the planter I filled earlier that day. Not bad for a beginner! It was a quiet and peaceful way to spend two hours, with the gays 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ - I'm thinking of planting it with mint.

I slept on something last night I was talking to a friend about. I feel much better about it; a plan is forming. I'll get out my notebook and write my initial thoughts today.

I've been meaning to scrapbook for a few months, now. I thought I had the supplies. Pens, pencils, glue, scrapbook, scissors. Now I'm thinking Pritt Stick might not be archival enough. As in it won't stick things down permanently.

I nearly fell asleep in a wonderful adult ed DIY course last Autumn. It was amazing. A teacher getting down to brass tacks in a confident, calm and assured way and totally understanding me falling asleep in my giant woolly jumper. I've been craving such a high for months. 🤣

Such a course would make a fortune.

Hundreds of women in the audience frantically taking notes, in six different colours of biro, coming up with multi-point plans on how to effectively do nothing in between other important jobs. 😫🤣

Just the other minute, over a tepid, standing coffee at the back door I felt relief at being able to sit down at my desk to do some work...

Amazing stuff altogether when I consider it a break to be able sit down at my actual work desk to do my actual work. 🫠

I want to self publish my LGBTQ+ fiction but there's obvious concerns given what's happened with the libraries here. And the costs. And ID...

And, in a big way, the exposure when Giant Corporations have no qualms selling LGBTQ+ people out to actual fascists for expediency and cash-money. #SpeirGorm

My 40s are my new teenage years.

My first drawing in decades. It's a not very good ink, pencil and highlighter image of a street, perspective all wrong, but I love it because I found peace and focus while making it at a supportive community group. It allowed me to express parts of me in a safe and protected manner.

I've been attending a community art group for a few months rediscovering my love of drawing. Unfortunately my grá for it was ripped out of me in secondary school with academic streaming and a focus on performance.

Schools seem to love competition and sports but not artistic expression. #speirgorm

I'm struggling with the gear for a creative effort. It's a project that'll be, "in the vernacular."

I can't decide between getting decent gear (slowly) that'll last a long time, or going budget and incorporating the tools as entry level, affordable equipment within the project itself. #speirgorm 🖤🍺
