Yep! If you sent it there we have it!
I've never read Don DeLillo. Erik has never read a smutty hockey novel. This is going to be HILARIOUS.
Another striking and defiant piece by @erikhane.bsky.social writing from besieged Minneapolis.
"I have come to believe something else too: we are the consequences. We, collectively, are the condition that makes their defeat inevitable."

In case you don't know what this means: you send us the pitch for your book. We mark it up in Word and send it back, with advice on how to sharpen it. You send $100, all of which goes to feed families sheltering in place here in the twin cities.
Reminder that we're doing a query critique donation drive for a shelter-in-place program here in MSP. Going well so far--we're at about $1700 and would love to get to like $2500. Come get your pitch critiqued!
Weβre still running this fundraiserβif you or someone you know needs a query critique, jump in!

Weβre doing a query drive to raise money to help relieve acute food insecurity among families sheltering in place. Come through!
planning an absolute heater of a @printrunpodcast.bsky.social episode that we're recording tomorrow
(It should go without saying but we are a No Questions Asked kinda place. I donβt need you to prove to me why you cannot afford to purchase a slot and/or why you deserve one. Weβre all in this together!)
If you're a writer who could use a query critique but can't donate to this fundraiser, DM me! We have some gifted slots ready and available for the taking!
As always we give 100% of what we receive to the program. Weβll show receipts. You get pitch feedback, families get fed. Everyone wins. Letβs go
The program we're funding is entirely volunteer-run, which means that 100% of your money will go DIRECTLY to purchasing nutritious, culturally-appropriate, and ethically sourced food for members of Twin Cities communities.
As always, we will accept gift slots! If you have money to give but don't need a critique, let us know you'd like to purchase a gift critique and we'll give it to someone in the writing community who cannot otherwise afford one.
Here's how it's going to work:
Send $ to us, along with an email with your query, and we'll critique it via track changes!
$100 for one round of critique
$200 for two rounds (we send notes back, you make changes, we make notes again)

@printrunpodcast.bsky.social slash @headwaterlit.bsky.social (aka me and Erik) are doing a query drive to raise money for Open Market's shelter-in-place program, located at Zion Community Commons in STP. They're in the middle of an urgent fundraiser for $43K to just stay open. We want them to grow.
It's time.
Colin, the comrade running the shelter-in-place food program I'm working at, told me that this week he's had to turn down asks from schools to supply food directly to their sheltering families. The reason? There's not enough money coming in for that amount of food.
Let's change that.
Yes it is!
If you could throw a few bucks to Zion Community Commons, Venmo @ Chef-Collective-1123, it would be a big help. This is solidarity, not charity. Letβs do the thing.
To families sheltering-in-place every week DESPERATELY needs funds to keep going. Lots of other food sources are drying up and the need is going to be great for a long time to come, even after the drawdown ACTUALLY happens (it has not happened yet)
Hi friends,
I know a bunch of you are probably getting very sick of hearing about me talk about living under occupation instead of my signature Getting Mad About Publishing Stuff but a VERY important MN community hub that is sending out thousands of bags of nourishing, culturally-appropriate foods
Everyone gets to lose money and business and opportunities. Except landlords! Never landlords!
Once, just once, Iβd like to hear about a landlord waiving rent in the midst of an ongoing, violent occupation instead of us all scrambling to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars every 30 days.
