In a recent paper in Nature Communications, Dr. TΓ‘rsilo Girona and Dr. Kyriaki Drymoni claim that their machine learning algorithm can predict upcoming large earthquakes.
We tested the method, and found that it does not work.

Yes - sure is. We - well Phoebe ! mapped the complex across thousands of helicopter photos - will be part of 2 new 1:100k map sheets out next year. Exciting! I honestly think the maps couldnβt have been produced any other way. Too expensive to map it all on the ground.
