(3/3) Younger children ask more learning-related questions to adults, whereas older children distribute their questions more evenly between adults and themselves, highlighting age-related differences in how children ask questions and maybe engage in self-explanation effects!
(2/3) Even in less structured settings like free play, children are strategic in their question-asking behavior, choosing to ask a higher % of questions when speaking to adults compared to peers or themselves, particularly with questions that support broader learning goals!
