Ahem, first graduating class to attend all four years there, that is - so I got a full four years of experiencing the consequences of some interesting choices there

This is hilarious to me, because I was in the first graduating class of Monticello High and it basically *opened* already over capacity - we had classes in trailers at a brand new school in 1998. Hand-wringing about Albemarle school capacity re: housing when that ship sailed like two decades ago lol

In all likelihood I probably conflated some of my 1993 and 1996 Albemarle County storm memories when I shared them with Emily, but each definitely amounted to 1-2 weeks without power and my family had no backup generator for the well water, so all-in-all some bad times were had

Our Queso’s shelter name was β€œChili Cheese Frito aka Charlie” - foster family called him Charlie Brown because the shelter name was too silly, shelter folks abbreviated him to ChiliCheese anyway, and I chose to not choose sides πŸ˜‚

The kombucha makes sense given how much of Dry January is left and how delightful a snowday beverage is

One of the smartest things I ever argued for on SCSS projects back in the day was basically keeping every custom z-index as a variable and all keeping all those variables listed in one place - still some random choices but slightly easier to reason with holistically

Still jealous of my former coworker who had that mousepad where the boob shape was repurposed for a corgi butt

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the sauce given my expectations but sometimes Emily and I lovingly disagree on sauce in general

A photo to expand on Emily’s photo in more detail, showing the full display of one of the many amazing sets of furniture at the Czech Cubism exhibition. All the textiles (some reproduced, some original) in this museum were just fantastic to the point where I need a deep dive on just those.
