Might get to Devoted & Disgruntled this year for the first time in a decade. Anyone else?

Stopped into the bookstore today and saved $1.75 by only getting a medium coffee abd then I spent that extra $97.42 on books instead
Although equally truly, labelling Nazis Nazis and fascists fascists isnβt always a βstrategyβ. Sometimes you just say things because theyβre true.
One of the more depressing obviously true things Iβve read lately.
Leon is one of the good'uns.
This is great! Watch it, then support the next one.
Theyβre emailing out the decisions. Relief for applicants, one way or the other. Iβm stunned to say mine was successful: oh my. Iβll have to do it now.
Ali is correct. I got all excited that the site appeared to be up, and did exactly what the email said not to.
Grantium latest. It's back up. But it seems to have lost (all? just my?) login details. So I click on "reset password" and get this.
If you ask me a confirmation question, I'll answer it...
Currently glued to the #lakeland100 tracker. One of my clubmates is on pace for the womenβsβ course record, another good friend is chasing the cut-offs, and between them will be found the cause of my imminent death from heart failure.
My pinned post is out of date again.
Itβs not aimed at me.
From now on Iβm only answering βwhere do you get your ideas fromβ when itβs expressed in this way.
An email from the theatre I attended last night, seeking to understand my motives for coming and how I heard about the play. I wrote it.
It was already down from at least the night before. First website ever to go down in anticipation of high traffic. Even my shonky old site can handle 2000 hits.
On reflection I canβt believe the decisions are recorded nowhere but Grantium. Thereβs a spreadsheet somewhere. Anything else would be negligence verging on gross incompetence.
For the avoidance of ambiguity or coyness: I am one of those waiting.
Applicants have now been told they'll hear (ideally) early next week. As far as I understand it, the decisions are themselves locked in Grantium. We've been saying since its introduction that Grantium is not fit for purpose; this seems to have finally persuaded ACE that this is so.
About two thousand people await decisions on their DYCP applications, decisions due yesterday. Plenty more have scrambled to submit applications before their summer holiday, but find they can't. I don't envy those at Arts Council towers today.
βI figured I might as well continue kicking that kid because after all loads of other people were.β
βDelayed due to train crew being delayed by service delays.β
Not just me then. I think it could prove fairly popular!
It looks like a great project, and it's a lovely school. I hope it comes off - I'd love to see it.
And yesterday I went to this. I wrote the adaptation so you'll be wanting to give it a miss. dukeslancaster.org/whats-on/the...
On Thursday, to celebrate her sixteenth birthday, I took my niece to see this. Anyone heard of it? It was decent! www.sunderland-theatre.co.uk/shows/sunder...
On Wednesday I saw this, a play about Leeds United that's actually a play about dementia and which managed to do both of these things improbably well. www.leedsplayhouse.org.uk/event/throug...
This week I've been to the theatre more times than the rest of the year combined, unless you count occasions when I was the theatre. On this week's showing I'd recommend theatre, which seems to have plenty going for it.
On Epstein, Donald Trump is not so much hiding in plain sight as loudly drawing attention to himself in plain sight.
The absolute gall of lecturing Diane Abbott about racism.
Absolutely. And Iβll certainly read the book. Tho presumably it never became better known publicly because, despite being a huge fish in a niche pond, in the grand scheme of things he was pretty obscure.
