I would also consider social factors. I always found it easy to make good friends when I lived in the U.S., but much harder to break into social circles in other countries. And how easy is it to continue favourite hobbies in the new place? I have had to give up some hobbies due to moves.

I have moved countries several times as an adult and often for different reasons. Most recently from New Zealand to Australia so my partner could be closer to family. I would consider actual access to healthcare as a major issue- "universal" healthcare is not always as great as some think.

It was a pleasure participating on the @pepsypodcast.bsky.social‬. Lisanne was a great host! And it was great to hear Estelle's perspectives that I think complemented my own quite well.

New episode alert🚨 Lisanne de Moor spoke with Estelle Moore and @msellbom.bsky.social about the role of personality in forensic research and practise. They outline important personality traits as well as personality disorders. Check it out!

This is a great paper! I have for years tried to minimize the use of this language in articles published in the Journal of Personality Assessment. It has been an uphill battle to say the least, but a worthy one. This article will be a helpful reference in the future when educating authors!

We were of course constrained to the MMPI-3 item pool, but 335 items does provide for ample opportunities to create scales. Our new ANT scale does converge with other DSM-5 AMPD and ICD-11 measures of antagonism/dissociality across measurement modalities. 2/2

The MMPI-3 already measures the PSY-5 model but Al Harkness's view of Aggressiveness, which is the antagonism counterpart in that model, is a bit different from traditional views of this construct. the AGGR scale is also too narrow to be an antagonism measure. 1/2

I am excited to share a new paper that is out in PDTRT. We developed an Antagonism scale for the MMPI-3. As @jdmiller.bsky.social and @drlynam.bsky.social remind us, antagonism is an under-appreciated but important construct. We can now measure it via the MMPI-3. psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/202...

For those unfamiliar, the Melbourne Cup is a horse race and the AFL is the Australian Football League (Aussie rules).
