It's crazy to think I'll never experience Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2 for the first time, ever again.
Finished both back to back and the story had me crazy captivated. It's been a VERY long time since I've had a set of games that kept me absolutely glued to them.
Been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance and omg when I was told this game was bethesda-like janky, they werent kidding lol
Been thinking about getting an old ipod classic to use for music.... it honestly sounds fun to a dedicated music player again LOL.
Granted I only ever had an ipod shuffle, nano, and an ipod touch growing uo.

Started playing Xenoblade Chronicles X DE finally and... man it's been a hot minute since I've played a XBC game in general.
We love turning a corner and suddenly something 30x your level shows up to kick your ass instantly lmao.
Love these games.
I don't spend much time on VRChat like I used to. Burn out got me pretty bad in terms of world hopping and taking pictures.
But I've finally been feeling some peace that I've been sorely lacking.
I've started to enjoy my time online more now that I've started to just live the "post art on tumblr and run" lifestyle.
I don't really have to worry too much about posting on a weekly basis. In comparison, taking pictures in VRC started to feel like a chore after a while.

I think ultimately I came to the decision to go ahead and post my art on tumblr again anyways. I'm not too sure whats up with my anxiety but I'm sure at some point I'll try to cross-post from here on.

I might be pivoting away from vrchat photography for the time being. In general, I have kinda hit a burn out with vrchat but it's not to say I won't be around or about. I did plan to hit up more music events eventually. But apologies if you'd only followed me for vrchat photography lol.
I feel a bit nervous to do this but given the state of the whole "apparently tumblr posts might be thrown to AI", it kinda throws my plans of having a tumblr art blog again out so I'll be starting to post my art here. Will repost the art I removed from there and go from there.

Last year I learned a big lesson in what I'm capable of handling and what I'm willing to deal with. This year, I want to spend more time with others and hopefully learn more about myself that doesn't have negativity attached to it.
I've had a few ask what my resolution this year is and well, to be honest, I think it always stands to learn to be a little kinder to yourself. Also making sure you don't overexert yourself for people undeserving.
I still do wanna try more, see more, and meet more cool people like last year tho!

Using genAI for concept art is so fucking stupid because like... that's where you get the cool shit. Thats the blue sky phase where artists make pieces of art that will be seen by a teenager later and change their life forever. Why would you want to start from mediocre. Why would you do that.
It's actually a really chill class once you get the hang of it! I didn't think I'd enjoy it so much, but now it's one of the classes I main :D

Nothing grates me more than when AI game dudes are like "Don't you wish you could ask an NPC aNyThInG?" Absolutely fucking not. If you don't understand that every piece of writing is made with intention, character, and meaningful choice... you probaby shouldn't be directing a fucking video game.

Past few days my WOL's lore of "he loves fishing" absolutely possessed me and I finally picked up fishing in ffxiv... I've been too into it. During downtime between ocean fishing, I also got a couple of the society mounts and I've been working thru dawntrail. It's fun :D
Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.
