Feeling the design on this Spotify Wrapped 2025
Wild seeing so many of our comfortable and tenured workflows being completely changed. But also, what an inspiring time to learn new things most of us never thought possible within our own disciplines.
Game Pass turning into a hard pass.
More influence and transparency into what the algorithms serve up. Less being tinder for the outrage and influence engine.
Aesthetics aside, iOS 26 just feels rough around the edges in a way I don’t typically expect from Apple. Some of the visuals are technically well done, but I think they’re going to age quickly, will be firmly timestamped (not always a bad thing), and likely won’t be looked back upon as kindly.
If it was an experiment, I think it’s fair to say that the “pay to play” model of the blue check verification on X / Twitter has ultimately rendered it all but useless as a signal for humanity. I don’t think there’s a silver bullet for validation, but it’s clear that this ain’t it.
It was such an important place to find community, share feedback on our journeys, and ultimately make some lifelong friends; both online and in local community.
I hope that young designers find a similar space soon.
Disappointed to see the shift at Dribbble, but it also feels like a direction it’s been moving towards for a while.
I’m grateful for what it was. Truthfully, I made my early career because of Dribbble. It allowed me to get distribution, land clients, and (most importantly) to connect with others.
