Sherlock crouched low, magnifying glass in hand. “Watson, distract the fellow—engage him in conversation about tariffs or golf, anything!”

Watson sighed. “Why did I abandon medicine for this peculiar profession?”

No funding unless trumps removed. Can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube but you can get someone running this who doesn’t have dementia

Accuracy of cath lab activation decisions for STEMI-equivalent and mimic ECGs: Physicians vs. AI (Queen of Hearts by PMcardio) - PubMed Physicians frequently misinterpret STEMI-equivalent and STEMI-mimic ECGs, potentially impacting CLA decisions. QoH AI demonstrated superior accuracy, suggesting a potential to reduce missed OMIs and unnecessary catheterization laboratory activations. Prospective studies are needed to validate these …

Funny, Ai was just saying it doesn’t want humans anywhere near medicine. Can’t we all just get along?

Impeachment not gonna happen. Better to get trump-himself-in front of congress and let him babble incoherently about his plan for war. Put the dementia on full display

They sure do hate pills. I’d like to see a gender breakdown on smallest worthwhile difference. Gut tells me women are more willing. Lots of reasons that could be but probably helps lower pill hesitancy if you’ve been using OCPs since teenage years

Measuring Public Preferences for Statin Therapy Using the Smallest Worthwhile Difference This survey study uses the smallest worthwhile difference to assess US and Japanese individuals’ willingness to take statins based on expected risk-reduction benefits and burden.

@jama.com paper linked. If driving had a 20% 10 year risk of catastrophic accident, it would first of all be banned but imagine there was a button that If pushed daily, would completely eliminate the risk. It would be insane to not push that button. Docs need a better marketing dept.

20% unwilling to take a statin for 20% absolute risk reduction! whoever answered this way is, medically speaking, really stupid. (Or had a bad run in with statins previously if I’m being generous). #medsky #cardiosky
