I just shared the title of our upcoming children’s book on Instagram 🕰️. It’s so exciting, but I won’t lie, it’s also a bit stressful. I hope it will be well received, as we poured our hearts into it.

If you’re new here - Last year, we started a big project: writing and illustrating our children’s book. I’m in charge of illustrating the book. I have 4 months to complete all the illustrations, and I’ll be sharing this adventure with you here & mostly on Instagram.
I spent the afternoon with @victoriamaypurple, the author of our children’s book! We had a great time talking about what’s to come. Get ready, lots of sneak peeks are on the way! And very soon, we’ll reveal the book’s title.

How do you feel about accounts reposting your art on Instagram (as a post, not a story)? I’m still unsure whether I should allow it. Sure, I gain a few followers that way, but they get a lot of likes and take "credit" for my work. After all, I’m the one who spent many hours drawing it.

I use Instagram (I still haven’t found an alternative to it). I was using Threads, but I switched to Bluesky. I tried Tumblr and TikTok, but they’re not for me. I might start a newsletter to have at least one platform that doesn’t rely on a social media app. And I really want to start a Patreon...
