It's sad that the best way I've found to enjoy the new games is by completely disconnecting from the Pokémon community online :(

I love talking about and speculating with friends but the shift to always be super critical and nitpicky sucks the joy out of it

I defended XY back in the day. They're the most fun of all the mainstream games to do new playthroughs of cause of the diversity of wild Pokémon AND its got well balanced battles and level curves

I've been a soldier in the Pokémon fandom battlefields for so long, I remember people shitting on Black/White cause it forced a complete new pokedex with "stupid pokemon like icecream cone"
