I've always said, rich people to go to Sun Valley and to get noticed, and go to McCall to stay unnoticed. But there are exceptions.

Canada's hockey team may be the saddest medalists in the history of the Olympics. Those guys look like someone is hanging dog turd around their necks.

I wish I could say otherwise, but that's the case with me, too. And I've looked. There are a few, but too few to mention.

I add Pink Floyd and the B52s to that list. Much different bands, but unmistakeable when you hear the opening notes or riffs. And yeah, I feel old because the 90s were the last great era of music for me, and that was nearly 30 years ago.

There are only a handful of bands who have a truly unique sound, and REM is one of them.

Counselor: These feelings of "everything sucks," how long have you had them? Butt-head: Uhh, since everything started to suck, I guess.

Let it be known on this day I threw out a mountain bike tire. Usually I say "It's still got some tread, I will use it later." Which is why I have numerous mostly worn out mountain bike tires floating around my garage.

That book gave me a deeper understanding of deer biology than where they live and how to hunt them. I may still have it.

You don't even have to be a deer nerd to enjoy this fascinating look at rare deer species. I had no clue most of these existed, and I'm a proud deer nerd. Great work, @matthewlmiller.bsky.social
